Job Description: This position provides leadership, management of the community funded program; Club Challenge with the goal of providing high quality services that are responsive to the needs of the individual members. This position must ensure compliance with all various funding and oversight sources.  This position will develop and utilize a network in the community that will support community inclusion, opportunities with volunteers, funds and in-kind contributions.  The Project Manager will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include but not limited to the following:


  • Promote the mission of the agency "The Power of People and Possibilities for individuals living with disabilities."
  • Follow all Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc.'s policies and procedures as set forth in the Board of Director's approved Personnel Handbook.
  • Follow the agency's procedures for processing maintenance requests
  • Follow the agency's bidding procedures for capital purchases. (over $2,500)
  • Follow the agency's Purchasing procedures for purchases
  • Works cooperatively with supervisor, peers, subordinates, Board Members and volunteers
  • Other duties as assigned.


Club Challenge

  • Participate in the annual proposal to the State Appropriations Committee
  • Participate in the annual contract proposal to the Agency for Persons with Disabilities
  • Ensure compliance of all standards of the contract using the approved documentation system
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports timely to Agency for Persons with Disabilities
  • Prepare a monthly activities calendar for Club members
  • Attend Club activities
  • Directly supervise the activity leaders and assistants
  • Work cooperatively with families, other agencies, and funding agencies
  • Prepare and manage budget
  • Evaluate performance of all staff semi-annually
  • Process personnel request forms, time cards, time off requests using approved timekeeping system
  • Conduct weekly meetings with staff
  • Utilize the Chief Operations Officer as your first line of problem resolution
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Chief Operations Officer
  • Attend trainings and management meetings as approved by the Chief Operations Officer


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Club Challenge Staff



  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Social Service, Education or related field or equivalent experience
  • Preferred minimum 4 years of management experience
  • Preferred minimum 4 years' experience in developmental disabilities
  • Must have a clean MVR
  • Must be able to pass local and state background check
  • Must be able to pass Level II background check


  • Must be creative and flexible.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
  • Public Speaking experience
  • Ability to use technology for communications and presentations
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize technology including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with personnel



This position must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken communication in the English language.

  • Walk and climb stairs
  • Lift & push/pull items up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to transport self to community activities
  • Ability to assist others in vehicles
