PART-TIME

MONDAY - WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY EVENINGS

$12.00 HOUR

Job Description: This working supervisor position is responsible for completion of janitorial tasks as directed by the statement of work or Senior Manager assigned. Such tasks are performed in office areas and common areas of buildings associated with an office environment. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing restrooms, and hard floor maintenance and upkeep. Work is performed after 5 p.m. 3 days per week and/or as directed by Senior Management.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include:

Essential functions

  • Vacuuming carpets and hard floors and sweeping and mopping
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Clean sinks, counter tops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls.
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary.
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.
  • Clean windows and window sills.
  • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
  • Report any damage to cleaning equipment to the project manager or crew leader.
  • Report maintenance needs to project manager or crew leader
  • Operate electric floor maintenance equipment as directed
  • Ensure accurate recording of time and attendance for payroll purposes.
  • Complete all reports and maintain all records required by the contract
  • Keep the Vice President informed of all circumstances affecting performance of this contract
  • Complete Human Resources paperwork as directed and conduct interviews to fill position vacancies
  • Follow agency policy and procedures on safety.
  • Maintain inventory of all materials, supplies, and equipment required to perform daily tasks
  • Conduct Quality Control inspections to ensure service is being provided in accordance with the statement of work
  • Communicate with the customer through face to face meetings and/or communications log books
  • Operate the project in an efficient and profitable manner
  • Other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to follow oral instructions
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work independently as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of SDS's or willing to learn.
  • Good client/customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain a 90% productivity rate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Lifting items over fifty (50) pounds utilizes a team lift. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
