Job Description: This position is responsible for performing janitorial tasks as directed by the Crew Leader assigned. Such tasks are performed in office areas and common areas of buildings associated with an office and lite industrial environment. Tasks include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing. Work is performed during the day between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday as determined by the Crew Leader.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include:

Essential functions

• Vacuuming carpets, sweep, mop and buff hard floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, de-lime as necessary.
• Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms as necessary.
• Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Collect recyclable materials and take to appropriate area to be sorted.
• Dusting and cleaning office furniture (excluding desks).
• Clean windows and window sills.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Report any damage to cleaning equipment to the Crew Leader.
• Report maintenance needs to Crew Leader
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to follow oral instructions
• Ability to work effectively with a team.
• Ability to work independently as needed.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of SDS's or willing to learn.
• Good client/customer service skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintain a 90% productivity rate

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have previous knowledge of performance based cleaning or the willingness to learn

Must be able to pass a Federal Government SF85 background Investigation
