Job Description: Transport palletized merchandise from warehouse to sales floor or assigned aisle and place it on the floor in its proper location. Block-stock merchandise to shelf, rotate stock with oldest date in front, remove any outdated merchandise, and clean shelves.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include but not limited to:


  • Move stock from holding area to sales floor using carts or manual pallet jack.
  • Clean and stock using the block-stocking method
  • Remove and return misplaced or expired shelf life merchandise.
  • Rotate dated merchandise.
  • Adhere to designated number of items facing.
  • Palletize overwrite cases and relocate as directed.
  • Breakdown cardboard move to bailer, and bail. Place other waste material in designated cans.
  • Participate in hazardous food recalls.
  • Participate in annual inventory.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.



What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing inventory handling and stocking.

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50-pound cases of groceries.
  • Ability to push/pull manual pallet jacks with a full pallet of groceries with full range of motion.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, reach above shoulders.
  • Ability to maintain continuous walking, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods of time.
  • Sight required to visually check for stocking accuracy and visual appeal.
  • Ability to work in an environment with dust.
