Job Description: Under the direction of the project manager, this position is responsible for cleaning and upkeep of office buildings and related areas while operating cleaning equipment and providing quality customer service. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

Responsibilities and duties of this position include:

Essential functions

  • Clean building floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common area, as necessary.
  • Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Collect recyclable materials and sort accordingly.
  • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.
  • Clean windowsills, windows, and stairwells.
  • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Maintain and use cleaning equipment properly.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when pertains.
  • Accurate labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
  • Report any damage to cleaning equipment.
  • Report maintenance needs to project manager or supervisor.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of MSD's or willing to learn.

  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.


Must have previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning or the willingness to learn.

Must pass a background check.


The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty (50) pounds utilizes a team lift. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
